Exhibition RITUALS/MATERIALS 2024


From April 19th to May 3rd, 2024, the exhibition RITUALS / MATERIALS took place at Castello del Valentino, Politecnico di Torino in the framework of Biennale Tecnologia. The second stage of a pathway started in Rome in 2023, this year the initiative was composed of a site-specific installation by KUEHN MALVEZZI and Armin Linke and by a rich public program. The installation explored the role of architecture in promoting interreligious dialogue and cultural exchange by showcasing the House of One project through two main projections on a large wall located at the center of the suggestive Stanza Verde (under restoration). The projections included pictures and videos by Armin Linke, drawings and renderings by KUEHN MALVEZZI, and photographs by Claudia Professione and Greta Valentinotti.

Co-designed with local associations, the public program included public talks on architecture and urban policies and practices, one urban promenade in religious buildings in the neighborhood of San Salvario followed by a collective lunch, one music laboratory for children in I.C. Gino Strada, Barriera di Milano, and a reading corner at Biblioteca Natalia Ginzburg.
